The donations we accept and give a second chance for purchase:
Kitchen & Bathroom Cabinets
Kitchen and bathroom cabinets should be in good working order. Check that the drawer pulls/slides work and keep the doors and drawers together with their respective cabinet when you donate them. Countertop remnants are also a good donation.
Bathroom Fixtures
Donating bathroom fixtures is a great way to keep bulky items out of the landfill. If you’re donating a bathtub or sink, make sure that they are not stained and do not have chips in the porcelain. Sink/tub/shower faucets that are in working condition and not rusted or damaged may be donated as well.
Large Appliances
You can donate used large appliances: stoves, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, dryers and washing machines. Appliance donations must be clean and in good working order. Appliances older than 7-10 years may not be accepted. Small appliances will not be accepted.
Lumber
We accept lumber without exposed nails and screws because these can pose a safety hazard. Other concerns include wood with ripped or sharp edges and some types of treated wood. We will accept larger pieces of wood, including framing lumber and plywood.
Doors & Windows
Both internal and external doors can be donated. The most useful doors are those that are clean, undamaged, and minimally modified. We cannot accept used sliding glass doors at this time. Used windows must be undamaged, seals unbroken, locking hardware included.
Flooring & Tile
We accept new hardwood, laminate and vinyl flooring that is in good condition as well as floor and wall tile. Open boxes are accepted. Try to provide the manufacturer and model/color information when donating unboxed materials. Open bags of mortar must be sealed closed and show manufacturer and color information. We cannot accept carpet remnants at this time; however, we can accept large floor rugs that are free of stains. Vinyl sheet flooring remnants must be at least 6ft x 6ft.
Lighting & Electrical
Often working light fixtures from a remodel can be put to good use again. Please include all mounting hardware brackets (screws excepted). You can also donate light switches, switch covers, receptacles, outlet boxes and wiring to cut your construction waste down even more.
Door & Cabinet Hardware
Many people replace door handles and cabinet knobs to update a room’s appearance. We welcome door and cabinet hardware donations. Door handles will be most useful when all the parts are kept together in a bag or box before donating. Keyed lock sets are preferred with at least one key provided. Hinges do not need to include screws.
Fencing & Masonry
Fencing and brick or concrete block surplus materials may be accepted on a space available basis. Please call before donating.
Large Furniture
Large Furniture in good condition without stains or broken parts. Please call before donating. We do not accept mattresses or box springs. Sofa beds may be accepted if less than 10 years old and are inspected before accepting.
